It can seem hard to find a family photography service that balances the competing needs of price and quality. Few professional photographers are able to bridge that gap and deliver something better than the family snapshots, without it consuming the weekly grocery budget in one sitting.

I understand these competing tensions so my family packages have been specifically developed to offer a reasonably-priced solution and a quality outcome that can be tailored to your needs and, importantly, your budget.

For a limited time all three packages are priced at $250 which is a significant saving at 50% off. Importantly, at the end of the process, you walk away with all of the high resolution images taken during the photo shoot on USB or DVD.

Family portrait package:

This includes a one-hour photo shoot at your home or outside, with off camera lighting. After the session together we will select the 10 best images for detailed digital editing. Once the images have been edited you will receive copies of all edited and unedited high resolution images as JPEGs. 

Kids party package:

This includes an hour of photography while the party in full swing, with a group shot, and portrait of the birthday girl or boy. The group shot and portrait will receive detailed digital editing (someone always blinks!) and 25 shots of the party will receive simple editing (for example making sure there are none of those OMG moments in the background). You will receive copies of all the shots taken on the day as JPEGs.

Cake smash package: 

The cake smash is the most popular baby/toddler photo shoot going. To keep this shoot affordable and flexible I'll come to you with a simple white backdrop and disposable floor covering (as well as all the necessary camera and lighting gear). You provide the cake and any bunting or toys that reflect your child's personality. Together we'll talk through options and then set the scene. Then let the smashing begin! 10 images will be digitally edited and all photos taken will be included on USB or DVD. The Essential Baby website has some suggestions for a successful smash event, including cakes, clothes and cleanup.

A little extra on the side?

I'm always happy to discuss your needs and modify these packages as required. For example, you may wish to book additional photography time as it allows for a greater variety of lighting set-ups and the use of multiple locations. Extra photography or editing time is charged at $250 per hour, with photography billed in 30 min blocks and editing in 15 min blocks. Printing, framing or photo books are charged at cost plus set up time. I will happily provide you with details of these costs as required.
